3DValley Featured 3D Artist of April 2009 – Alex Sandri. Alex is a freelance 3D artist and Maya & Mental Ray tutor from Milan, Italy. He is a former fashion photographer and currently lives in Bangkok & Koh Samui, a small tropical island in southern Thailand. He has over 10 years experience working in Maya & Mental Ray on Architectural Visualization projects. He recently also started recording video lessons for Gnomonology. 3DValley Featured 3D Artist February 2009 – Jason Godbey. Jason grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in social psychology and a minor in philosophy. He started with 3D as a hobby about six years ago but it soon turned into a passion and today he is making a living of it. 3D Valley Featured 3D Artist of January 2008 – Michael Sormann. Michael is an CG artist from Austria who after 10 years working in the games industry decided to try it as a freelance 3D artist. The last several years he worked in his spare time on “Theme Planet” a short film with Pink, Elephant and the Mad Constructor as leading characters. 3D Valley Featured 3D Artist of October 2007 – Fabio Zangla. Fabio is an artist from Italy who currently works and lives in London. He studied to be an electronic technician and a programmer but things took a different turn when he started working as a web designer and 2D artist. He started to learn 3D Studio MAX & Maya to create original websites but people enjoyed his work so much that he currently is working as a Lighting Technical Director for the Moving Picture Company and works on feature film projects like “10000 bc” and “Happy feet”. 3D Valley Featured 3D Artist of July 2007 – Massimo Righi. Massimo is a self thought CG artist from Italy. He previously owned and managed a book store but after exploring 3D for 6 six years as just a hobby, he decided in 2005 it was time to give it a try professionally. Today he lives and works together with his wife Silvia on various projects. Massimo uses Maya for modeling and Photoshop for the textures and concepts of his photo realistic 3D visualizations.

3DValley Featured 3D Artist of September 2006 – Steven Stahlberg. Steven is famous among the web because of his beautiful and realistic female 3D characters. He has won dozen awards with his work including the title Maya Master. He has been featured in and on the covers of many books including d’artiste Character Modeling, Expose and Digital Beauties and he was the first artist in the world to have a virtual character sponsored by a major modeling agency (Elite, 1999).
