Q1.
Christa: Can you
tell us a bit about yourself: Who are you and what do you do in
your daily life?
Robert: My name is Robert Allan Harris, I'm 28 and I was born in Trinidad & Tobago. I now live in Mississauga Ontario, Canada. My main job is being a chef and I also do freelance work. A few years back I worked on a documentary called "TIMELESS PLACES" that still shows here on the Travel network. I also did work for the "GRAPHIC EXCHANGED" Magazine. When I am not working I am spending hours doing my art work.
Q2.
Christa: When did you first notice you had artistic talent?
Robert: At 12 years old I enrolled into my first art class where we had to create abstract scenes with tooth picks and
garbage bags etc, I fell in-love with art and started drawing and painting. I pursued art ever since....

Q3.
Christa: Do you have traditional art experience?
Robert: Very little; over the years I took several fine arts and life drawing classes.... I can draw what I have in my head but professionally no.
Q4.
Christa: Which software packages do you use for your artwork?
Robert: Hash Animation Master and the Gimp; I'm also learning Blender.
Q5.
Christa: Can you tell us a bit of the way you work on your
art?
Robert: I work very structured. I think up and re-search ideas that I need and I put them on paper, even if it takes me days I carefully draw and setup up my scenes on paper before touching the mouse! I first place the lights, camera angles and other key elements. I then model everything; texture them, prepare the layout of the scene in 3D and tweak as needed.

Q6.
Christa: What and/or who inspires you?
Robert: I am inspired by allot of things example: many of my scenes are composed based on dreams (nightmares); encounters I have had and emotions. They represent how I feel or what am thinking or a place I would like to be or not be... or how a song inspires me.
Q7.
Christa: Do you have a favorite piece of your own artwork
and if so, why?
Robert: I would have to say "Still Life- Prisoner of Evil" - it represents a huge turning point in my life. I spend months working on this scene trying to convey the exact mood and feelings... I'm very happy with it.
