3DValley Featured 2D Artist interview of May 2009 – Deborah Valentine. Deborah is an artist from the US. She has been interested in art from a very young age and studied at the California College of Art. She has worked many years as a tattoo artist and is well known on the internet for her contribution to many ExquisiteCorpses and her managing the TheExquisiteCorpse club on DeviantART. Her favorite tool is still the pencil although she do use photoshop to prepare her work for posting it online. 3DValley Featured 3D Artist of May 2009 – Maurizio Pocci. Maurizio is an artist from Rome, Italy. He works as an 3D Graphic supervisor for an Multimedia Communication company. He belongs to the generation that after having seen Jurassic Park in 1992, decided life would no longer be the same. He is completely self-taught and works with Autodesk 3D Studio Max for modeling, Mental-ray for shading, lighting and the rendering, and Adobe Photoshop for mapping. Maurizio donated many free models to 3Dvalley and has become a dear friend of us. 3DValley Featured 3D Artist of April 2009 – Alex Sandri. Alex is a freelance 3D artist and Maya & Mental Ray tutor from Milan, Italy. He is a former fashion photographer and currently lives in Bangkok & Koh Samui, a small tropical island in southern Thailand. He has over 10 years experience working in Maya & Mental Ray on Architectural Visualization projects. He recently also started recording video lessons for Gnomonology. In the past was an Showman’s Decorator, painting the large scenery panels on fairground rides and shows. I loved those panels as a child 🙂 Today he is working as a freelance artist/ photographer.
